A_K_S_ magazine (an acronym for Art, Culture, and Spectacle* in Albanian) is an informal platform that aims not to inform, conform, or formalize anything related to the form of “A_K_S_” (art, culture, spectacle). Instead, it serves as a conduit through which society and civilization, consciously or unconsciously, communicate their essence and character.

Etymologically, “aks” refers to the Indo-European language, found in the oldest Sanskrit root as “ag” or “ags,” with the meaning of movement, departure, travel, voyage, and “àksha” with the meaning of axis, wheel, carriage, or chariot. In contemporary Albanian, we find this ancient A_K_S_ in the “ag/dawn” of the morning, representing the generative and regenerative movement of the sun that influences the foundations of our existence.

We observe this existential influence on human beings in all artistic phenomena and artists worthy of the name. Therefore, we consider this A_K_S_ as the fundamental element for decoding and interpreting not only art and artists but also the contemporary Albanian and global societies. Let’s embrace this A_K_S_ as a means of action (such as artistic, cultural, or even spectacular activities) and as a means of movement (like Apollo’s chariot) to explore together the dawn’s blade and closely observe the conditions in which everyday life unfolds. In a few words, we aim to keep the axiom “Dita e mirë duket që në mëngjes / A good day appears in the morning / All’s well that begins well” suspended and continually observed on this platform.

Finally, addressing the form and the issue with the conception of this blog, we acknowledge that presenting this magazine as a “platform,” a two-dimensional “flat form,” might appear to abuse the authority of the authors towards the readers. In this regard, we apologize in advance for any such unintended effect.

Revista A_K_S_ (akronim pёr Artin, Kulturёn dhe Spektaklin*) ёshtё njё platformё joformale qё nuk kёrkon tё informojё, tё formalizojё apo tё “izojё”, gjithё ç’ka tё bёjё me formёn nё lidhje me kёtё “A_K_S_”, pёrgjatё dhe nёpёrmjet tё cilit shoqёria dhe qytetёrimi shqiptar, me ose pa vetёdije, komunikon esencёn dhe karakterin e vet.

Etimologjikikisht “aks” i pёrket indoeuropianishtes tek e cila gjendet nё rrёnjёn mё tё lashtё tё sanskritishtes si “ag”, apo “ags”, me kuptimin e lёvizjes, ikjes, udhёtimit, rrugёtimit dhe “àksha” me kuptimin e aksit, rrotёs, qerres, karros. Nё shqipen e sotme e gjejmё kёtё A_K_S_ tё lashtё nё “agun” e mёngjesit, nё lёvizjen gjeneruese dhe ripёrtёritёse tё diellit qё na kushtёzon nё themelet e ekzistencёs sonё. Kёtё kushtёzim ekzistencial tё qenies njerёzore e shohim nё tё gjitha dukuritё artistike dhe artistёt tё denjё pёr tu quajtur tё tillё; rrjedhimisht e shohim kёtё A_K_S_ si elementin mё bazik pёr tё deshifruar dhe interpretuar jo vetёm artin dhe artistёt, por – pas tyre – edhe shoqёrinё bashkёkohore shqiptare. Le ta marrim kёtё A_K_S_ si mjet veprues (si veprimtari artistike, kulturore apo edhe spektakolare) dhe si mjet lёvizёs (si karroja e Apollos) pёr tё pёrshkuar sёbashku tehun e “agut” tё mёngjesit, pёr tё vrojtuar nga afёr kushtet nё tё cilat e pёrditshmja e jetёs realizohet. Nё pak fjalё, aksiomёn “Dita e mirё duket qё nё mёngjes!” duam, nё kёtё platformё, ta mbajmё pezull dhe ta syrvejojmё nga afёr dhe vazhdimisht.

Sё fundmi, duke iu rikthyer formёs dhe problemit me konceptimin e saj, duhet tё shtojmё qё jemi tё vetёdijshёm qё nё paraqitjen e kёsaj reviste si “platformё”, si “formё e sheshtё”, dypёrmasore autoriteti i personit shkrues abuzon me personin lexues tё cilit, me kёtё rast, i kёrkohet paraprakisht ndjesё.
